From a picture search it looks like the typical 3-pin DIN plug is used for inputs:

Those old German receivers used a higher level radio demodulation which fed as much as 2 volts to the volume control. The original pickups used were high output crystal or ceramic. A modern and better quality ceramic will have lower level and you'll have to turn the volume up when playing records.
A better alternative if you are replacing the original turntable is to use a magnetic cart with higher output such as the Stanton 400.v3 which may still be available and/or a preamp with higher output on the order of at least 1 volt for a 5millivolt input.
