Seeburg 3W1

When I deposit a coin the select light illuminates but the motor starts immediately and goes through the cycle without allowing me to make a selection.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Got the manual--clean/adjust, the "carry-over" switches, to spec. That'll "fizzit"!

Show & Tell Time. These are the carry-over blade for a 3W1:

In the uncredited position the center blade should make with the rear blade.

In credited step-up the center blade should not contact either rear or front.

In sending position the center blade makes with the outermost blade. This provides the carry-over.

On hint on the K mech photo----the "hole" (on both sides) between the two metal halves of the 345-03x cartridge, where the "Pickering sticker", was applied, should be covered, as "stuff" gets in there, and cases "problems".

Ok gracias re: the pickup.

On the 3W1 the rear contact is the at-rest position. On the V3W series it is the reverse.

The 345 original on the VL may not. I'll check when next there.

No "sticker" on that one--loan you my glasses ?? You are looking at the "insides" of the cart--can see both coils---
--and, oh, BTW, that is no longer an "--03D"--a "D" model was equipped with green, diamond needles, while a 345-03S was equipped with tan/brown, sapphire needles--with those needles inserted, it's a ""345-03x" model, cartridge. Ron Rich

Ron, au contraire (or ไม่เป็นความจริง -Thai) you need the spec's. D-L that pic and punch it up, I promise the sticker is there.

That mech was rebuilt/modded in Feb 1998 and went into revenue in Oct that year. They've used the hell out of it, but it has been cared-for and is still OK. The springs are for a later assembly that I bought from Victory Glass and stretched to run at 2-g. I prefer those style springs because you can close the hooks and the loop for the unused side (A vs B) will slide through the hook and thus not affect the arm.
