rockola 440 troubleshooting

by k-dub240 » Tue Dec 07, 2010 10:47 am

I recently acquired a rockola 440 and have run into a few problems. First off is my #6 button doesn't work: when depressed with any letter the write in carriage never stops spinning, and the buttons do not pop back out unless i turn the jukebox off. All the other buttons work fine in choosing there proper selections and playing the corresponding 45's. Second, and this happens randomly, is the gripper arm will stop while pulling a 45 off the turntable. I can manually return it to the record cradle, and it will work for a while. Third, the toner arm when it reaches the end of a song will not always activate the gripper arm to return the single to the cradle. Does any of this have to do with the three micro-switches at the rear of the box. Could they be worn and tripping up the sequences?
