PLEASE HELP - i need to identify and locate these parts

Thanks, I will check those links out. I was able to find a cartridge the other day on ebay, which is apparently a replacemnet for the ronette, but its by Astatic.

I havnt plugged it in yet, as I need an american to uk adaptor. Im a bit worried that it will explode when I turn it on also because of the different voltage. Although I dont anything about that kind of thing. It reads in the lid 'use AC current only, 110-120 volts'

Will it explode if I plug it in? does it need any re-wireing?[/img]

i finally got a usa to Uk adaptor today, plugged it in. The turntable went round, but the speaker just makes a loud buzzing noise:(

so its not looking good.

measures 12.5" x 10" x 5"

Plays at speeds of 78/45/33 1/3 .

Actually it's not as bad as you may think. Most units of this vintage hum due to bad capacitors. So, a standard re-cap is in order. Here is where the links will come in handy. This is a prime unit for restoration. Take your time, it will be well worth your efforts. As for the cartridge the brand doesn't matter so much. Astatic has been making replacement carts for most brand names. Just check to make sure it looks the same. I might be able to cross reference it but I'm not in the shop right now.
