Please help with seeburg sx100 problem

by Hullo Kitty » Mon Jun 18, 2007 6:19 pm

I have a Seeburg sx100 marauder that scans, and will not pick up selected record. If I trip a lever on the record player, it will play a random record. It plays beautifully, great sound, etc. I paid 150 bucks to have it fixed. The repairman said he cleaned it, and he did. It worked fine for about a week. Now I don't know what the problem is. I'm not paying another 150 bucks again. I'm hoping I can figure out the problem on my own. Anyone have any advice? :?

Hi,

Check out the Tormat on the underside of the mechanism.
It has a lot of contacts on it. These need to be clean (use an eraser or pencil rubber) to rub over the contacts, this will clean them. There are pins that run over these contacts that have very thin wires attached to them (one or more may have come adrift)

I hope this helps
