Hi all,

May be my speed concern on my Seeburg Jukebox can be answered hre.

I have one Seeburg Celestia bought in Canada with 110v and 60Hz. This jukebox was now brought to Indonesia a country with 220v and 50Hz. I have installed a step up power converter to deal with 220v but due to the frequency is not converted, the records play slower than they are supposed to.

I know in a turntable, there will be a speed adjustment to deal with this problem. Where can I find the speed adjustment on Seeburg jukebox?

Thanks for your reply.

The most practical way to deal with this is to get a power converter.

Google: power converter 50hz to 60hz

It is essentially an oscillator/amplifier that takes 220/50 and uses it to generate 110/60.

It is possible to change the gears in the mechanism, but it is a PIA and still leaves the rest of the system getting 50Hz which is less then optimal.

One note here: be sure to order one that is approx twice the load rating as the actual load (jukebox) most of these convertors are Chinese and typically rated at max values. Leave considerable headroom.

Guy's,
The "Celestia" (model 100-78D) and the LPC are almost two different "animals" here--
Unlike the LPC, the 100-7x series phono's were built with 240/117V, 50-60 Hertz capabilities.
For the electronics, all one needs to do is re-wire the internal wires to comply with the voltage in any country.
(see schematics--five minute job). Gearing for the turntable, and drive, will need to be changed to accommodate this difference, OR, a small electronic "Hertz converter" (50 to 60 Hz.), may be wired to the motor run circuit, only.

Have you tried replacing the spring that pulls the latching disc in place. That cured my slow play problem on my LPC 1
