by 1speedy77 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 3:54 am

I have a CD 100 E jukebox in my gameroom and lately the blinking lights on front of the jukebox that blink with the music, blink like they suppose to from the start, but after playing three songs they stop blinking. What could be the problem?

Hello,

More than likely you will have dry joints (cold joints USA) on the connection pins on the sound to light unit.

Hey Alan,
Do you know what a "dry joint" is here (USA) ?---It's slang for an establishment that sells no booze !
Just thought you'd like to know that--

Does a cold joint mean it has a bad connection ? If so how do I repair it ?

Hi Ron,

Plenty of dry joint at this side of the pond and more will close down if the price keeps going up, £2.50 a pint at a local bar and any price they wish to charge in towns or posh bars.

1speedy77,
Check for cracking around the connection pins on the printed circuit side of the lamp controller, if you see any cracks around the solder where the pin comes through the board these will required to be resoldered, do not attempt this if you can not solder correctly because you will do more harm than good.

Regards.

Alan
