Hi Guys,

It was the RCA jack coming off the Tormat. The center pin wire was broken. Cut off the end and soldered both positive and negative and it's good to go!

Thx!

HI, guys I acquired 4 showcases that where stored in a open fronted shed in the corner of a field. At first I thought yeah ok for parts. but recently decided to try and get two working out of the four. the first is now up and running. all the same problems as you had jack. I'll skip the obvious things like mech cleaning and oiling etc. obviously had a speed prob. recapped the speed control, still a problem until the juke was warmed up, ( after about 6 records of playing slow.) then it played fine, then I went through what I thought must be the problem, gummed shafts or motor. so after cleaning the shafts taking the motor apart cleaning and reassembly. tried it again and no joy. well I thought can't be a knackerd motor those things are very robust. so swapped out the motor from an entertainer and works perfect . one day I will learn to check the thing you least expect first. The guys are right about the switch you were unsure of it is for the service lights which are situated underneath the top speaker rack to light up the pop meter, if one of theses bulbs has blown neither will light up.
