Seeburg Model B, Dome support rod?

by Eric H » Fri Apr 22, 2011 9:02 am

Is a B supposed to have a rod to hold the Dome open?
Mine never has had one, we always just opened it and laid it back over the top, it seems all the other models have one and it would be logical for the B to have one also.
If so where does it mount?

Thanks!

My B, covered in ugly Contact Paper! someday I'll re-veneer it with new Zebrawood.

Nope--The B had two "rubber bumpers" that prevented the dome after, it was "flipped over", from hitting the top of the cabinet. Look carefully at the area the trim touches, and you probably will see the two depressions that contained the bumpers. Ron Rich

Thank you Ron,
the reason I asked is there's a guy selling a rod for a C on eBay and he says it fits the B also, I thought it was wrong but wanted to be sure i wasn't missing something.
