I have a " Versuv - Rio" Fireplace Bar Stereo made by Koronette and features a versatile combination stereo, bar and simulated fireplace!
AM/FM radio with 3 shortwave bands .
Automatic 4 - speed BSR record changerwith automatic shut - off, diamond needle, 6 speakers.
Mirror- lined revolving bar with tray, record storage compartment.
High gloss finish cabinet.
Simulated firelogs included. 2 Doors open towards you.
I believe it was made in germany, as I have the service and operating intructions and technical data. I also have a newspaper ad with said stereo.
If someone can help me in knowing what it may be worth or even if more exist I would appreciate it

There's a guy who runs a junkshop outside of town here, who has one (with a working 8-track tape player no less) and he wants 250 bucks for his. As to whether or not he'll get it, that's another story.

I work in a thrift shop that has one of these almost exactly like the one on the website http://windsor.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell ... dZ46397856
we are asking $500.00 for it. We have had a lot of interest...and people are willing to pay the price if they had the money...currently I have a guy that states as soon as he has the money he will back...with the little bit of research I have found it is very difficult to find any information on it...

Good luck
Agape

I think the market for these is very limited. Be prepared to wait a long time to get your asking price. There are a lot of ways to spend $500 these days.

Hi, These are not from the early 50.s just by looking at the design, and the electronics used. 8 tracks were not availble in the 50's. The solid state units appeared in the mid to late 60's. this particular set was made in East Germany of all places. It has a BSR changer clearly of the late 60's vintage.
I seriously don't think the will bring in the prices asked, unless someone really did not know what they were looking at . I am trying to find info for Agape and ran into this messageboard.

As a collector of genuine antiqie radios, the interest of these newer units is not that great. While they are not commonly seen, they are out there, but again, I honestly don't think you will ever see someone come back with $200, let alone $500.I hope they do for your sake, but I honestly doubt it will happen.

There us an Ebay ad right now for one of these starting at $99,99 Canadian, which is a more realistic price for these.

Some nice photos though I am going to start a small database for these type of sets. There are many variations.
Good lcuk,
G. Rabbitt.

These units date from 1971, and were available at Woolco Deparment Stores in Canada.

Thanks for your comments, the stereo I have has no 8 track in it and the newspaper ad I have is from 1965, and at that time it sold for $395.00.
I hope some one can assist me in finding out if a market exists for this type of console.
Thanks
