Replacement Speakers NSM 240 I

I know very little about speakers. I have included a picture of 5 of the speakers I need to replace. The top small palstic speaker (left side of picture) has two wires attached and is marked 4 Ohms nothing about watts. None of the speakers have a manufacturers name and the other 4 speakers do not have any Ohm or watts markings. The lower 4 speakers do not have any wires attached to them or any place to attach a speaker wire? I thought speakers needed two wires attached to them to produce sound? What makes these 4 speakers work when they are not attached to anything?

I have seaarched in USA, UK and Gernany for replacement foams for my Prestige II Juke Box and due to the odd size I have not been able to find replacement foams and assume the same is true of these speakers.

Does anyone have a good source for these type of speakers for a reasonable cost?

buy foam replacement to nearest over size, cut to fit and glue with speaker glue or rubber cement. will last 20 years,,,,,

the BOTTOM speakers are 8 inch and are fake speakers. they just act as a sounding board, but you can put real speakers in ,just follow the manual for hookup. it will sound better. the weakest part on these units is the amps. replace the caps . the carriage assembly has a sensor that detects light/dark strip on the record holder. be very carful not to break this as it is hard to find a replacement.

I think you mean they are "passive" speakers, not fakes. I do agree that wired speakers would improve the sound.

That may or may not work. Passive radiators are used in an enclosed or sealed speaker cabinet in lieu of a bass reflex port. They are meant to react to the pressure wave coming from the back of an active speaker. Having nowhere for the pressure wave to go may cause the base to be off. it may be better to not connect up a replacement speaker leads, or leave the space empty. Fortunately I know that this one has been repaired and sounds fine now. Mark
