Rockola 473

My Rockola 473 jukebox has been playing fine until I made a selection that now plays over and over again. I've reset it, turned the power off and on, unplugged it but when I turn it back on, it plays the same selection automatically. It has never done this on any other selection. Help!

I am answering this only because no one else has, yet--Hopefully someone else will "chime in"--
I am not familiar with that model, and do not know which selection system is installed--you might determine if it has the mechanical or an, electronic system.
In either event, my advise would be to "call a pro"--but if you do not wish to do so, you are going to need to follow the "sequence of events", and/or schematics, as shown in the Service Manual--and you will need a fairly high mechanical/electrical "skill set". If needed, check the "where to find---" announcement at the top of this section. Ron Rich

I think I have pinpointed the problem now I could use some advice as how to fix it. The selector keys on the selector assembly for the "b" sides of certain selections gets stuck and the record plays over and over until I manually push the key back to the "idle" position. I am hoping it is just a lubrication problem and not broken springs. I guess if the springs were broken there would be no tension? Typically the "b" sides probably didn't get played as often as the "A" sides over the last 30-40 years which might contribute also. Anyway, if it sounds like I know what I am talking about, I don't. Any advice is appreciated.
