Wurlitzer 2500 won't pull records

I have a Wurlitzer 2500 that will not pull the record onto the turntable after you press the number and letter. You hear a sound of confirmation but no spinning of the main spindle of records. Everything else seems to be in working order.

That is, until I turned it on today and I was able to play about three records before I experienced the same problem. Now we are back to no records all the time.

I'm not quite sure what the problem is, but if anyone has any help or knows of a good repairman in Detroit, I'd appreciate it!
