Rockola System 2 Computer

by jbrand » Sun Mar 13, 2016 11:46 pm

Does anyone have a working Rockola System 2 computer for sale or know where I can track one down? I have one but the battery leaked acid on the board and I am not sure it can be saved!

Sorry--can't help you find that--but you might try removing the battery and holder, if used, and soaking boards in 91 % rubbing al-key-haul,
for a day or so, then rinsing with hot water and drying totally--SOMETIMES, this will work ! No "warranty" !! Ron Rich

Do you soak both boards completely? Should I remove components off the board first before soaking?

Well, on that type of board set-up, I would split the two boards--remove any mechanical component, such as a relay or un-sealed coil, and soak the rest of the board for an hour or so, then use a scrub brush on it. I would move the battery OFF the board to the outside of the metal box. Be SURE it's dry before you power it up!! Ron Rich
