Rowe MM1 Jukebox problems

by Skippy » Tue Mar 27, 2007 4:58 am

Hello: I have a Rowe MM1 jukebox which is in very nice condition but has a couple of problems, it lights up and the select light comes on and you can make a selection, the select unit spins and then stops and then the record mech spins looking for the selection but stops past the actual selection and just sits there, without the record arm pulling out the record, it seems like it is not getting the selections right, if anyone can help me on this problem it would be much appreciated, maybe something simple but not sure.

Hi Skippy,

When the Search unit spins round and stops can you see if it has pushed out one of the pins?

The best way to check the search unit is to remove the three large fixing screws and place the search unit infront of the mechanism. You will now be able to see the pins as it pushes them out. We usually test these by going up a letter and a number on the A side and then B side selections.
So A1 C2 E3 etc and B1 D2 F3 etc.

Let us know how you get on.

Skippy,

Lubricating all the 200 pins and working them in and out a few times to free them up fixed the problem for me. Check the thread "Rowe AMI MM1 - Selection Unit failing to register" ami-man suggests a few other things to look at that helped me. Good luck.
