1448 Rockola is spinning out of control!!

Hi our 55 1448 rockola record drum keeps rotating back and forth even after the record is finished. I know some of the selector switches are bad because some of the records will not select. Any ideas would be helpful. I also need some parts. Thanks

I don't recall which method of "scan control" was used in that model--
Earlier models had a "washer" located under each pin, that made contact with a ring, when the pin was pulled. On this system, it is possible for a pin to be partly pulled, and the washer making contact. Check ALL pins if this type.
The later phonos had a "scan control" unit. This was mounted in the rear on the first,of them, and later moved to the RH side, front of the mech. These tend to get "stuck"--just clean and put a drop of 20 wt. oil on all "pivots"--if you have this type. Ron Rich
