1959 RCA Victor Victrola Model PM-22

by matthew6228 » Sun Aug 05, 2007 3:07 pm

Recently found this model at an estate sale, it works great and is in really nice shape. It even still has the original instruction booklet. Owner said he bought it in 1959 in Montgomery, Alabama.

Labeled " Stereo-Orthophonic High Fidelity "Victrola" " and is a stereo console as well (can hook up a tuner or tv ).

Any idea as to the value of this? Thanks!

I don't see a TV connection. But lots sets did have an input for playing audio from a TV. The amplifier is probably where the value lies. The value of these type of sets: low mainly because of the size. If all parts, tuner, amp, and phono are working well now and set hasn't been upgrated, that's remarkable. Sometimes you find this set with an external speaker cabinet. If you are looking to sell put a $60.00 price on it.

Well this particular model works perfectly, but only has inputs for a tuner or tv. The two speakers in the cabinet work great and the record player funtions just like it should, with every control operating properly. Bought it for 40.00 from an old retired Air Force pilot who bought this for his wife, along with a custom built cabinet and about 50 records, and 10 45s. I will post a picture soon, thanks for the info!
