Capehart Console Record Player

by BixBoxSound » Thu Dec 10, 2015 9:08 pm

Hi, i have a very nice Capehart Solid State AM/FM Console Stereo with phono. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas where i could get info on how to change the needle on the phono? I currently have the part on order, but i have never changed one of these before. Any help would be great, and thanks in advance!

Model #?

Usually has a Garrard changer with EV cartridge, but anything could be installed, depending on the specific model.
Photos?
Those changers will require service now if you want them to perform properly.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.

So i got a new needle today, figured out how the old one came out, and the new one is very floppy when locked in place... i suspect the vendor sold me the wrong needle. I will upload some pics of the thing when i get a chance and anyone with help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
