Help Needed Assembly/Dis-assembly Edison Home Phonograph

by hangumhi » Mon Oct 20, 2014 5:53 am

I hope someone can lend me a hand. I can't locate any manuals that demonstrate how to disassemble my phonograph and I want to pop out the pulley rod mechanism in the photo attached. I'm sorry I don't know the proper name for parts I'm an extreme novice. I just want to try my first restoration of a phonograph but can't figure out how it all comes apart.

In the pictures attached, the set screws (three) come out just fine but nothing else moves; not sure if these were welded or just rusted shut or if they're supposed to even come apart but they're stuck in there for sure...I'm not sure how to even get leverage on it to pry it out.

Please let me know if you need any other info or pictures etc in order to provide help

I want to remove the pin that goes through the cast base (pictured) and it has a cone shape on one end. The set screws come out just fine.
