old rockola?

I just bought this one the other day and I'm trying to get it going everything seems to be here. Except for the tubes and one side of the plastic I'm hoping someone can help me find. Also need a manual if I can figure out what it is st20 st39????? I have looked everywhere for manual. Some wires are unhooked and I think the screw heads are broke off if you would take a look at the pics. And let me know what you think.

It's a 1939, RockOla, "Standard Luxury Lightup" ( now tell me that ain't an "oxymoron" !). Manual should be available from one of the suppliers listed above, in the "information/stickies"--

i am working on the motor in the second picture and im having a issue with it. i know this may sound dum to some of you that have been working on jukes for years. this is what has me rubbing my head raw. the mech. motor is a emerson 1/30 hp single phase 1725 rpm . i have pulled it out and cleaned very good. it seemed to be stuck and now that its cleaned i said i will put 110 power to it to make it turn it just hums but when i twist the pulley it will run just fine and in both directions but when i kill the power and it stops when power is turned back on it just hums until i give it a turn. my question is? is there a capacitor that starts this motor and what tells it which way to turn the mech. when it plays the record and when it puts it back. thanks guys for your time.

Most of the motors of that day had a "start winding". This winding was controlled by a "shoe", that spun around--as the motor speed increased it opened this shoe, and turned off the motor start winding--there were many variations of the arrangement, and I don't know what that motor had--My best advice is to not "mess with it", but take it to a motor shop--

Why don't you take it to a "small motor re-builder" ?

Not but one place around here that does that and they want a arm and a leg to do it. He's very wishes washed and won't give me a firm price so I thought I would try another way of asking around.

The only problem with buying a "replacement" is--will it be good ?? --will it "last", for how long ?
I have had very little luck in those respects--much better luck, paying the "arm & leg" !
