Magnovox Astro Sonic stereo/record player Model # 3RP658

I acquired this last week at a yard sale for $25. It's beautiful and sounds amazing. The only issues I have found are the turntable is loose, as if it had been worked on, and there is a static when adjusting several knobs. I belive this is due to age or possible loosening, because the speakers sound awesome. The chasis is stamped 2/66. Any and all info pertaining to this item would be great.
