What is supposed to mount on the tab that I have circled? There is an adjustable screw on the arm that aligns with the large center hole. I am missing this part from my jukebox.

Also, how is the tonearm lifted up and lowered onto the record? I don't see a mechanism to do that.

I am ASS-SUMMING here since I doubt I have ever seen one--the screw is a pressure adjustment for a needle pressure spring that (should) ride under the tone arm ? As for "lifting"--that would need to be accomplished by a cam follower, perhaps, pushing on that lower circled item ???---- Ron Rich

Well, I found out that the missing part is just a switch that shorts the cartridge input line to eliminate noise from the amp when the tonearm is in resting position. Also, there is no arm lifting mechanism on this machine. The turntable (record) just picks up the arm, on it's way up and plays the record. When it is finished, the turntable drops and the arm is swung back to it's resting spot in the arm holder. Very simple.

Believe it or not, the adjustment screw actually touches a contact to create the short. It is what provides the short to ground.

Yea, OK--I can believe that-- Rowe/AMi actually did the very same thing till the last 45 rpm phono made--They had a "safety screw" that would touch a metal plate on the tone arm section if no record was on the turn table as the needle was set down-- Thanks!! Ron Rich
