A question about the Edison LU 37 (London Upright) was posted awhile back on this forum, which you might want to look at by clicking on this link -- viewtopic.php?f=7&t=737

If your model is equipped with the standard Edison reproducer, then you can only play the "thick" Edison Diamond Disc records.

If this is fitted with a sound box for needle cut records--which looks something like this -- http://www.goliadantiques.com/images%5C ... trola8.jpg -- and was normally sold on an aftermarket basis--then this can play standard, needle-cut records such as Victors, Columbia, etc.
