pro player info

I have several pro players that are no good anymore. I have a friend that rebuilds them for around $150. Do you think that's a good deal? How much are new ones? Where can they be purchased online?

Kent,
Which "Pro" players?--for a PRO 1, that's a little high--not much--but--for a PRO 2, it's about right--depends also on what he is doing to them---
New Pro 2's run about $400.00 today---in the USA---
BTW--please go int your profile and at least list your country--this is a world wide forum--

Video Amusement in South San Francisco, California repairs the CDM12, CDPRO, and CDPRO2 players as well as sell repair parts for them if you choose to repair the player yourself. Cost is around $110 for them to repair a Pro 2 player and around $80 to repair a Pro 1 or CDM12 player.

Their website has detailed (with pictures too) instructions if you want to repair it yourself.

I have shipped several players to them for repair and have been very satisfied with the work.

Here is where you can buy a brand new CDPRO2 player in the USA:

Be advised a brand new player is about $400 though.

Ken, Thanks for that info. I have reworked 2 and have them going good. Since they sell parts I will go that route for the remaining 2. Kent

I would also buy that lubricant they sell for the player "sled" rails.
