Time to restore/service the Magnavox

Hey all... Since 2008 I've waited for this day to come. Unfortunately, its time to restore the magnavox. In 2008
I bought a 1961 Magnificent Magnavox Stereo. It's a tube type console model. When I brought it home it was perfect. All of the channels worked, and all of the speakers sounded amazing. I has to big horns on either side, and 3 sets of tweeters(midrange) on the front of the set. It didn't have a hum in it at all, and the "Imperial Micromatic" record player functioned flawlessly. Since last year(Maybe a little longer) The unit has been giving me a slight hum. Not a real loud one, but enough to notice it. Music still sounded beautiful on this thing regardless. This past Saturday my mother was cleaning my room, and we had to pull the stereo out so she can clean the windows. I had the back of the set off so I could have my CD player hooked up to it. She saw how dusty and dirty my amplifier was so she tried to dust it off!! When she did that, 4 of the tubes fell out. I then noticed one of the prongs on one of the tubes was bent. I tried to straighten it out, and put all the tubes back in. Now, the hum is louder, and it sounds as if your turning the dial to tune the raido, sounds like you have the radio portion on when you don't. So I haven't attempted to play it since that happened.

Fortunately when my aunt give me her magnavox(which I know longer have) I gutted the insides and saved the tuner and the amplifier. I had that amplifier serviced and repaired. If only I can find it. It's somewhere in my attic. I'm sure I can use it on my stereo because it was made around the same time as the one I have now. If I can find the repaired amplifier I would still need to get my tuner and record changer serviced. It might just be cheaper to buy another stereo, but I always liked this one so much and always wanted to keep it. However, I will trade it for any kind of Magnavox French Provincial cabinet. I am particularly fond of the 1961 Magnificent Magnavox French Provincial "Imperial Model" where the top lifts up. I have been looking for one of these for a long time, but never found one.

Removing and re-inserting the tubes should not have disabled the amplifier. Are you sure the tubes went back into the same socket that they came out of?
