Seeburg Trashcan 146 - Gear

by rvalkenburg » Sun Nov 02, 2014 6:07 pm

So where would one try and find a worm gear for a Trashcan 146? after stripping out the mech to try and figure out why it was jammed (just got the machine yesterday) I noticed the lower worm gear that connects to the main assembly to move the records and lift the turntable is stripped.

I have gone through the Sticky.... Most of the links are for minor parts (needles, etc..) Vern's son does not have 146 gears. I sent a message to Victory glass because they have somethings listed as "Conversion gear sets, 78 RPM, 60 cycle (USA) for Seeburg 146-7-8 models." but I am not sure what that actually includes, maybe someone here knows.

Hi Ron Rich...

Got your PM... all is good.... Thanks for keeping an eye out for me...
I tried to reply to your PM 3 times and all 3 of my responses are just sitting in my outbox indefinitely...

Hi Ron,
I am totally confuzzed--your posts are from a "Jeff" ( which happens to be my brother's name)--
I see all three attempts, but they are marked "deleted by author", and I can't read them ?
