Seeburg HF100R Motor Spinning

by LamMan » Fri Jun 06, 2014 11:26 pm

I recently acquired a Seeburg HF100R in unknown operating condition. When I turn the unit on, the motor starts to spin and the lights light up. That's basically all I can get it to do. Coins go in and sit until I press the return button. Pressing the selection keys do nothing. I have tried hitting the reject button on the back of the cabinet, but it doesn't do anything.

Not sure where to start; help appreciated.

If you have mechanical/electrical "skills", I suggest you read the "informational stickies" above.
Then if you have a Service Manual, read it, prior to proceeding, and causing yourself more problems. Once that's done, I think you will discover that the "Safety Plunger", and/or, the clutch, is "stuck". Ron Rich

Thank you, I'll take a look at the safety plunger and clutch assemblies.

If the amp has not been re-capped it should not be powered. At the least, remove the 5U4 tube while working on the mechanicals.
