Thanks for that info, any idea on the model/model number at all? Also, do you think it is worth restoring, or is there a good chance its played its last record?

Bobby Basham wrote:The model numbers should be posted on some stickers on the back/inside the cabinet. I don't know if yours is completely tube, but I have one where the TV chassis had a gazillion tubes, but the amp/receiver is solid-state. I ripped out the TV and made a storage unit in that space.
I like the idea of mounting a flat screen TV in there because they have audio out jacks which would easily connect to the amp. You're basically left with the turntable and the audio portion so I would get those serviced. You should be able to find a date sticker on the receiver such as "chassis 10/65", and another sticker for the model number.
I'm completely gutting mine because I have a nicer cabinet and an AS-100 receiver and amp to use. I'll keep the turntable, but use that original low-powered amp for the garage or patio.
Rather than chopping up the cabinet, I'm gonna remove all the speaker panels, screen it in and make a brooder for raising baby chicks. The sliding tops will facilitate access to them. Nothing gone to waste. --BB
