Need some help

Hi I am very new at radio repair I have done three Cap replacements with good luck But need some help with a GE Mod 324 console I did all the caps except for the electrolytic''s in the tubes on the top Had great sound for AM only so I replaced all the rest was very hard to do TIGHT! now I lost everything ? I have no way to see this my self any recommendations? Chris CB

Hi .. i have been fixing up old radios & phonos for 40+ years . I always suggest only replacing 1 or 2 capacitors at one time then plug the radio in to make sure there were no mistakes made , then carry on with more .

Unfortunately there are to many people on the net who insist you replace all of them at once before plugging things in . many radios ruined that way . As you do more of these then your sills will improve and you can replace more stuff at one time but to be safe , check your work often during this .

No one over the internet can possibly "recommend" about something once an amateur has gotten their fingers in it.
The lack usual of electronics knowledge and skills by said amateur, driven by online "DIY" blogs by other amateurs only complicates things more.
Sort of like the blind leading the blind.
