Rockola marked 100-volt, 60hz.

This is a new one for me. Apparently, this configuration might be expected in Japan, but not here. This juke is marked 100V, 60 hertz both on the tag on the back and on the power supply. It has the 448445A power supply common in 70s models. Since I'm reluctant to just plug it in and see what happens, I'd like to get some thoughts through this forum. Can this be safety plugged in (to check the output voltages); can the power supply be reconfigured to 110V (and maybe it has; what might that look like), or should I plan on swapping out the power supply regardless?

Got the Service Manual/schematic ? If so it probably shows the wiring for 117vac--look at the actual transformer wiring and compare it--

Ron: I have the wiring diagram. It shows voltage configurations on the power supply rear panel for 100, 120, 220, 240v, (a difference of one wire?) for export models, which is what this must have been. I will bring the jukebox home late tomorrow and it will likely be next week before I get into it. Looks like a great winter project. Especially if I get better at deciphering those wiring diagrams I've picked up for each of my jukes.

Hi Patrick,
I have never looked at how RockOla did it, but have dealt with other companies that had various inputs, for different AC mains inputs.
Some got real cleaver, and provided multiple (usually color coded) "dummy plugs", others, yep--you had to move at least one wire--usually more, if going from the 110VAC, to the 220 VAC range--
If someone HAS changed it, it's too bad that they did not re-mark it as having been done ! Ron Rich

Ron: you were on track. I got to this sooner than expected and they did use input voltage jumper plugs. It's set to 120v, and that's what I measure both at the wall and at the turntable motor. I double checked it against my 474. Same config. The wiring diagram shows this on the "domestic" side as the Japanese configuration. Now all I need to do is put a dot on the right place on the power supply. Patrick
