Rock-Ola Shipping Charges- Ouch!

by mark2474 » Mon Jul 09, 2012 10:21 pm

I just went to Rock-Ola.com to order 1 bubble tube and a couple of plastics for a CD-8 jukebox and when the shipping page came up, UPS Ground was only $285, and over $1700 for Overnight. Am I missing something here or are they trying to discourage you from buying parts from them?

Mark,
Where are you located ? Are you sure that there was not a typo, somewhere--?

I'm located in St Louis. I re-entered the order without the bubble tube just in case, and the shipping charges dropped to $231 for UPS Ground. I went to Victory Glass and placed the idenical order and the total for the items was $30 less and the shipping was $20. I tried to email Antique Apparatus but the email link did not work.

Hi Mark,

I ordered some from Antique Apperatus quite a few years ago and the delivery charges were more than the cost of the tube but that was delivered to the UK.

Alan
