NSM Performer Grand II - Any routine maintenance

Hello All,
Am new to this forum but i jumped in and bought a NSM Grand Peformer II. I loaded it up and it works fine but I was wondering is there any special maintenance or things I should be doing. How about a maintenance routine or schedule.
Also, is there a way to enable this to play directly from an Ipod?
