grundig us 205 console stereo

hello

i was given this console a few month ago and would love to have it working as it should.
can anyone give me a general ballpark of what it would cost to have this recapped?
i have zero electrical knowledge so i doing it myself sounds too scary to even try.
it works well enough but after about 10 minutes the sound of the left channel gets distorted.
there are 2 tone settings and it gets distorted on only one of them.
anyone know of someone in the chicago area that does this type of work?
im guessing it would be really expensive?
