Hi, My Rowe TI-1 is playing the wrong record, It si off by 2 selections all the time. How do I adjust this? I.E. C-4 plays A-4

Hi Ed,

You need to scan the carousel (magazine) to A1.
Now remove the Search unit by removing the three larger bolts.
Check the possition of the 200 timing mark on the Stop Plate Assembly.
It should be opposite the notch in the search unit mounting bracket.
See your manual for the location. If the position is out remove the central circlip and adjust.

Thanks Alan, I don't have a manual but I think I can check by your instructions. The search unit (wheel with pins and numbers?) pops off with a central latch. Your saying I need to remove the three screws that hold the retaining plate on?

I got it! thanks, I removed the search unit and the shaft was being driven by a belt with a spring loaded idler, I jumed it a few teeth forward and put the belt back on and now it works! Probably not the correct procedure but it got me there.

I have have looked at your post again after your reply.
I assumed that when you selected a record it played a record two slots away from the selected one.
The fix you have done is the just to move the pop meter drive to its correct position. If this has fixed the problem then I would check out the large drive gear that engages with the sprag wheel (drive gear on the magazine motor shaft) and the Stop Plate Assembly. This gear usually blue in colour has a bright metal centre with two adjusting screws. These screws allow the magazine to be moved between three slots to facilitate correct adjustment.

It may be that the two screws are loose allowing the magazine to go out.

Any 1100 mechanism manual will show all the adjustments for correct operation MM-1 to R-80.
