Rock Ola CD-8 Bubbler +26v problems

I am not really all too familiar with Jukeboxes, but I have a friend who has one of these that is not currently working. The power supply has all 3 power LEDs lit up. On the left side of the computer, there is a board that is a mech control for the CD player I am assuming. On it, there are test points for +5 and +26 V. The +5 is fine, but the +26 is around +1v. The detent LED is lit up, and the Run LED is not. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Need more info--what is the model number (CD-8 is the cabinet number) as listed on the SN plate ? What "color" components are used in it ?
I would assume that 27 vdc is acceptable for a 26 vdc test point--
If the detent LED is lit, the mech should be stopped, and attempting to pick up a CD. Is the gripper motor getting voltage ?

Thanks for the response Ron. I am not getting +27, I am getting around +1. hahahaha, I.E. something very wrong in the +26V line. I am an arcade guy by nature, so I do know quite a bit, but I have had a hard time locating the problems with this machine. i will get the model number when I am over there in the morning! What I am trying to determine is what could be wrong if the LED on the power supply for 26V is lit, but this board is testing at almost nothing! None of the components tested open in circuit on the board itself.

You "arcade" types are weird---throw in a motor--or anything that moves under power, and your lost-----
OK--I don't know which model you have, or even which company "built it" so I can't answer your questions yet--and may not ever be able too--
Start by un-plugging "things" and see if the power comes up at the test point--somethings "shorted" or the supply itself has crapped out---

Posting pictures of the interior of the machine in question may help identify the manufacturer and hardware used in it.

Okay, J -

I'm going out on a limb here, but...

The detent led is an indicator lamp for the position of the magazine. i.e. there is an opto-coupler that reads tiny slots on a disc attached to the magazine with one slot per disc location. When the mag is scanning, that led will be blinking.

Here's what has to happen to get +24VDC to the mech:
Selection is made / read out sequence begins OR "Scan" switch is activated
Control Computer sends RUN signal to power supply
RUN signal biases PNP transistor
PNP biases case mounted positive voltage regulator
+24VDC delivered to mechanism
LED indicator for +24VDC on Mech Control PCB lights up

Something as simple as a blown fuse, Operate Switch set to "Off", loose connector, etc. could cause your set of symptoms.
