Dee,

I think just having these things around the house just helps me maintain some sanity in my life. Yes, I have the newer technology here, too, but enjoy listening to Motown/Brittish Invasion, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Rock, and lots of Classical on evenings and weekends. I'm just totally addicted to record players. Just think about it...a needle tracking a groove, producing sound, and stereophonic at that. It's still amazing to me and totally blows me away.

I like strolling through the house playing my choice of record players, big and small. The sound may not always be great, but the nastalgia is awesome. I have the same passion for tape machines, too. --BB

Ddee...

How's it going these days? Are you and your mom enjoying that Magnavox inspite of grumpy dad? I bet it sounds awesome, and the cabinet is just beautiful.

Thank goodness it didn't go to some knucklehead to strip it and turn it into a bar and/or guitar amp. Sooner, if not later, it should probably be serviced by a qualified Tech due to age. These things seem to last for decades, but time does take its toll, and little gremlins are sure to pop up here and there, just like our aging bodies with aches and pains.

I rarely play (piano/organ) at home anymore because of all the typing at work and hand pain (bi-lateral strains). I just play at church on the weekends to get some extra income. Nowadays, my piano and organ are just for show, collecting dust, and may get back into it after I retire. --BB

Hi Bobby!! That piano is absolutely Gorgeous, just like your personality btw.

Not that it has anything to do with your taste in piano tunes and whatnot but I thought I would share the fact that My mom would brag about Liberace and played his tunes all the time when I was little, I thought he was pretty cool!! Of course they had me listen to Lawrence Welk as well, and as a kid, sometimes I would be singing the tune.... Good night, sleep tight, b4 the show got started... LOL.. that was one musical show all right!! I find myself singing it to my little one, once in a while....

I really hope that Beautiful Grandnificant Piano stops collecting dust and has an Awesome piano buddy to play with!! ;)

You Rock Bobby!!!
