Hi Everyone!! I recently bought a really cool Sears Silverton Stereo Phonograph with Stereo FM and AM-FM Radio, Model No. 3291 from an estate sale. At first I was going to sell it, but I like it so much I think I'm going to keep it. It's pretty loud with that nice bass sound and has some really unique surround sound speakers (detached). What's really bugging me though is I can find absolutely nothing about it anywhere on the Internet. Not a single thing!! I have the Owner's Manual and Parts Manual, but there is no date anywhere. It looks like it's from the '60s, maybe even the '70s. Can anyone tell me anything about this awesome unit? Why isn't there any information out there? Julie

Should be a 1968 model.

If it is really surround sound (and not just detachable speakers), it has to be 1971 or later.

Perhaps your Silvertone model was offered in a Sears Christmas Wishbook. From what I've read, many Silvertone stereo models (and a few incendiary televisions) were manufactured by Warwick Electronics for Sears. An archive of these catalogs as well as others from JC Penney, Spiegel, Wards, and maybe some others is located here:

Incendiary televisions?? What are those? Do they set things on fire?
Or, did a spellchecker change it to the wrong word?
