Technics fan question

I dont know if this unit is too modern for this forum, but.......

Its a Technics su-G91 absolutely amazing surround sound amp.
Question is about the fan at the back. Is it meant to be dynamic? Is it normal to be dormant at low volume, sort of off and on all the time at medium levels and always on at high? Thats the way it seems to be, just checking if youve seen this before on any kind of amp
thanks

Hi Lister,
Although I Know nothing about that brand, it would seem to me, that a temp. controlled fan is a good idea!
The output devises heat only when being "used", and tend to heat more, when volume requested is higher. Ron Rich

The cooling fans on those Technics are controlled by volume level.
While they're great products, (I own Technics also) the fan system is dumb.

I re-configured mine to a different strategy - once it warms up it stays on.
This of course can only be done by an experienced tech.
