wurlitzer 2800 randomly coins up when 'B' is pressed

I'm working on a wurlitzer 2800 with some odd coinage / selection issues.
It will randomly add credit when B is pressed on the keyboard. Other times it will not add credits when coins are dropped.

Amon,
Yep--VERY "odd"---
Is it actually adding credits to the credit wheel in the Play-rac ? Or is it triggering the "free play" switch, some how ??
Could be various reasons for it not adding credits with coins--
"Slug rejector" to coin switch alinement "off" --coin(s) being returned ? -- dirty coin switch(es) ?

Whoever had the thing before I was asked to work on it wired in a microswitch to press in place of the coin switches.
Even better, under further examination, the play-rac has been messed with too. The solenoid plunger has been removed.

Amon,
OK--this info, "changes the equation"--slightly at least--
With the plunger removed, the phono would be on "continuous free play". In this case, check that the "key switch" is making good contact, and that the NC contact, on the keyboard solenoid is also functioning well.
If, by chance, this phono is equipped with a dual "latch bar system", let me know--It should NOT be--

This particular machine has a latch bar for the numbers and another for the letters. The Service Manual I have for the 2800 series machines shows this.
More digging has determined that this machine has the components for the "Little LP Selector".

Progress Update:
I removed the Little LP unit and jumped the plug per instructions on the wiring diagram. The coinage / select light issues remained constant. Did the same with the top tunes control box, same results as before. Cleaned and checked all the contacts in all of the relays. I tried moving the white relays around to see if the symptoms change, same results as before.
Determined that there was a mangled switch on the top tunes mechanism on the selector unit.
The select light does come on if the nickel switch is pressed. This doesn't appear to happen when the 50 cent switch is pressed.
Also, it appears that the B button contacts are preventing the A button from working. Applying slight pressure to the fiber board at the B position allows A to work.
