Hi, Ron sorry for thinking you might have had a senior moment, I'm always saying sorry for something on this forum :) . the cabinet has been butchered, but over here across the pond certain parts would sell, as bits and bobs for jukes fetch more money over here as do jukes themselves. something like that over here would sell no problem. I guess we brit's would buy just about anything and think about it afterwards. Harry.

This is a silly price, it's not working and he thinks it's a bargain at £2,900.

Perhaps he meant to start at £290.

Hi
Its the same one that's advertised on Gumtree Belfast, more like 200 pounds for it, that's about all I would give for it. Time and time again people base their prices on what people look for machines on the net and they still sit there a few years later

Hi, guys you beat me to it, came across that Rockola this morning, Your right it's a £200 jukebox if you like that sort of thing, personally I think there a bit big and ugly for only holding 50 records. Mabye someone has told them it's a Rokola Tempo. I went to see a 1950s Bal Ami. once which turned out to be a late1970s NSM. And he had it twenty years how did he not know

Here's one for you. I know it's a dealer, but in the past their idea of "fully restored, " just from closely examining the photographs, falls far short of mine.
Now for our "colonial cousins," they want $6508.45 for a non-visible play jukebox.

Hi Bob,

I tend to agree with you, the rusty steel does not lend it to being restored. The header on Ebay says used but the discrption says restored working condition.

I found the description of it being "nearly working" quite amusing.

Hi
As they say nearly never does it, I would nearly go to £100 for it although in fairness I would say its nearly an easy fix :D

Taht is why I don't use spell chick. Actually, that price is no bad if your machine has a dented, rusted or vandalized back.

From the same seller: 371394352035 I don't know where he gets the description but the price is OK.

For those wondering: http://s1192.photobucket.com/user/Rob-N ... rt=2&o=101 It is a ceiling speaker grill from the late 1940s-'50s.

Doghouse,
Re-try it--it works for me--and if I tell you what to search for, it will ruin the fun--
Rob,
What would "spellcheck" have to do with it ?? That speaker grill was available new thru at least the 60's, or later, (maybe in a form of plastic, as I seem to re-call ?)--widely used by Seeburg's BGM division, speaker installations--
