Seeburg Selection receiver

I have a question on the selection receiver for a Seeburg R or J jukebox. Does anyone know the difference between a WSR7-L6 and a WSR7-L6D?

Never saw one marked with a "D", but, I have a guess--

Maybe the way it gives plays for coins received??

I thought the D on some Seeburg's means dual pricing. I'd think it has something to do with the pricing.

My thinking is it meant the same as when they added the "D" to the model R designation--set for Dime play--
Yes-the "D" was used later to indicate dual pricing-- Ron Rich

Ron, By coincidence I also have a receiver with the "D" designation. What did dual pricing mean for the receivers with the "D" designation. Was it the coin combinations that were accepted, or the denomination of the coins, or something else. Type WSR7-L6D; S/N 74,322.
Also, is there any difference in the electronics (schematics), or the credit unit?
Thanks, Steve.

Steve,
"D" was probably for "Dime", as stated above-- no electrical "changes", as far as I know-- Ron Rich

Just guessing here....

If you look at the last 2 pages of a 3W1 wallbox manual, there are references to a 3W1 wallbox and a 3W1-D wallbox.

The basic differencesare as follows,

3W1 wallbox works like this:
5 cents gives you 1 play
2 nickels or 1 dime will give you 2 plays
25 cents will give you 6 plays

3W1-D wallbox works like this:
2 nickels or 1 dime will give you 1 play
25 cents will give you 3 plays

My guess would be that the D is for pricing and eliminates the 5 cent play solenoid from being used.

This may be the difference in the selection receivers as well.

Jeff,
I think you are correct--they also made an "Information and Operation Manual" (I & O) for the HF-100 RD--I have one around here somewhere ---perhaps it 'splains it ---better ?? Ron Rich
