Please help identify Magnavox

by felkelf » Sat May 29, 2010 6:10 am

This was my Great Grandmother's. I don't really know anything about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to restore it and start collecting records.
Here are the pics:

Late '50s early '60s HiFi. Looks restorable. Amp and preamp will need recapped and the changer will need rebuilt. Defintely worth restoring.

Thanks Thom. Can you point me in the right direction to get additional info on this console and where I can learn how to restore it properly? I'd also really like to track down a manual for this so if anyone knows more specific information it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again Thom for info.

NostalgiaAir.com might have something in manuals. Search this forum. There is a lot of information to be found here on what you are planning. New capacitors and how to replace them can be found at justradios.com. or MCM etc. The amp number can be found on the amplifier itself. Go ahead and google it. You might get lucky.
