SMC-1 Consolette compatibility

by MrMario64 » Thu Jan 30, 2014 7:34 pm

Hi,

Which Consolette (wall box) can I use on the SMC-1 "Disco" Jukebox from Seeburg?
Only the DEC model or is an older version also possible?

With kind regards,
William

Hi William,
With the new MCU, and our "adapter", almost any wallbox is usable--the DEC type still require the Seeburg "translator", be used--which is the same requirement for the original types of MCU's. Ron Rich

Nice Ron,

I like the older SC Boxes a lot more.
Where can I find information about this "adapter" ?

Where can I get it? What does it cost?
Is there a separate schematic so I can build it myself?

That sort of stuff :)

Hi William,
The adapter sells for $100.00--no, we do not provide a schematic as we consider it propitiatory---A lot of time and engineering/testing went into it, and like the next gen MCU, we like--and, NEED, to be paid for our efforts--Ron Rich
