How common are the locks on jukeboxes?
I've a Rock-Ola 468 and two 507 wall boxes, they all came from different parts of the country, but share the same Illinois key number.
I've only got two keys between the lot, but given that, I don't need to have a spare.

I don' know what RockOla did about that, but, if, as usual, Mr. Rockola copied his friend, Mr. Seeburg, there would have been 1000 locks used for wallboxes. (Seeburg's numbers ran from S-000, to S-999).

Hello Bob,
Cash keys were always one offs but jukeboxes tended to use standard pattern service keys, some companies however fitted their own stardard keys to cut down the number of keys the engineer had to carry.
The company I used to work for and also when I used to operate my own machines had key chains over 8 foot long we used to carry them over our shoulders. This was only for the Pinball, Bandits, Pool, and Football tables etc where we had the cash and standard keys for each machine on each site. The jukebox keyring would have around 20 to 30 keys on it.
