That's a beautiful looking machine, & I'm surprised that no one has commented so far. If it is a Panatrope, that means it would've been made in the 1925-1928 period, & was made specifically for playback of the newly introduced electrically recorded("Orthophonic"/"Viva Tonal" type) records. Does it have an electric motor for the turntable? I don't see a winding crank on the right side of it. It should be a very good performer if in good playable condition-the Brunswick spring motors were very good. This is not a no-name "junk brand" you have here. The "Big Three" makers of 78 players in those days were Victor(the top brand), Columbia, & Brunswick. Edison Diamond Disc phonos were also well made, but they are a different groove format even though the records look like "normal" 78s. If your machine looks as good on the sides & back as the front, & all the parts are there & it plays well, I'd say you have a $250-$300 machine there. Very nice looker!
