I have a question regarding a Magnavox model PD6704. I hear the collective groan, as I've been lurking around here for a few months. I don't care to know what it's worth, because I know it's not worth more than the $35.00 my husband paid for it.

I would like to know where I might locate a woofer for said stereo. The woofer in question is for the left channel of our stereo. I know very little about solid state equipment, and I hope someone will be able to help me. My husband knows nothing about such things, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I would appreciate the help of anyone who knows about such things.

People part these things out (often to make a liquor cabinet) and sell the parts on eBay. That's sort of how I got my first Collaro changer (without the eBay part).

Yes, I've seen them parted out more frequently than I'd like. Many thanks for pointing me to the "WANTED" part of the board. I appreciate it immensely, and it was terribly considerate of you to mention it. I simply can't imagine how I could have neglected seeing that part of the board; how stupid of me. I haven't the slightest idea what I'd do without such good advice. Aren't you nice, though? I shall post my request there immediately. It really is a lovely unit, and I would hate to do away with it. I think it sounds wonderful, but I expect I don't know much about that; not being an "audiophool." Your advice is appreciated, and I do so hope that you'll continue to offer such useful tidbits in the future.
