Sold my 440 yesterday for $450. Admittedly, I didn't re-chrome it, but then it wasn't pitted or scratched, so why would I ?

Anyone interested? Its easy to fix, but this person would not do it so he could make more money, his loss is your gain! A New other no less. Certainly is not used.

Works sometimes. Turns on wants to grab record, but doesn't. It just needs a tune up. Very easy fix.

Since I have no idea how much a "quid" is worth, I sure have no idea about 500 quid ??
Also, I guess he has revised his description, as I see no reference to "reproduction rights" ? ( wonder what that's worth??)

A "quid" is English slang for a pound, but I think you really were aware of that...

Here's an alternative. "A nicker" is old Cockney slang for a pound and "half a nicker" would have been ten shillings, or in today's money 50p.

Hmm.. I thought it a bit pony, but probably worth more than one.
Explanation for our US cousins.
To call something "a bit pony" is Cockney rhyming slang, short for pony and trap, meaning C**p.
A "pony" in monitory terms, is twenty-five quid.
A "monkey" is £500.
Isn't English a hard language?
