Estimated Value

Hey guys, I have no idea where to put this so I'm putting it here. If it belongs elsewhere, could a Mod please move it?

Ok, I picked up an old Akai reel to reel player/ 8 track player at a thrift store because it looked cool. I know its not realy a phonograph or record player, but I thought someone out there might be able to give me an estimated value? Thanks in advance,

Nate

There was one at a recent radio swap meet here in Sarasota, with an asking price of $75. It did not sell.

Thats what I was afraid of. Its more modern, no tubes, so I was afraid it might not be in demand. :( Oh well.

Was it something similar to this? They are similar to Roberts (who bought out Akai or vise versa). They are both self-contained units with amps and speakers, but the Roberts is a tube unit and doesn't have the 8-track.

All of my machines, and others not shown, were given to me.--BB
