Seeburg V200 Selection Problem

by PTL8GRANDKIDS » Fri Jul 03, 2015 12:23 am

Hi Friends, When I selected A0 thru VO, the carriage passed by all the selections. However, I made the same selections from my Wall Box and each record played with no issue . Your thoughts, thank you. Preston, Syracuse NY..

What do the other 180 selections do - jukebox versus wallbox? Ray

Hi, Thanks for your question. Everthing was working good until yesterday. The first 10 records or so played ok, but the next selections from the juke box failed. However the Wall Box seemed to operate ok when making selections. Today the juke box had no issues until a number of records played and same issue occurred again. The Wall Box worked fine today. Hi Preston,
If this is a model "V", not VX or VL, I would suspect the 2D21 write-in tube. Any model, if still equipped with a DCU, I would suspect dirty k contact INSULATOR(S).

Hi Preston,
See the service manual--DCU section--Isolators, if dirty, will "leak", thus preventing the WI cap from charging. Rare, but sometimes if the gold plated contact is dirty, it will prevent the WI cap from discharging-- Both should be cleaned with nothing more abrasive then, a pencil eraser ! Ron Rich
