Zenith stereo/radio console question

by Jeri » Sat Nov 24, 2007 10:55 pm

Hi - I'm hoping someone will answer this post. We recently inherited an old zenith stereo/radio console cabinet. It looks like it may be from early 50's or late 40's. The cabinet is about 3' high, there are two drop down doors. The door on the left drops down and the turntable pulls out as the door opens. The drop down door on the right pulls out the radio. The radio has three moon shaped dial areas. I'm not sure what kind of wood it is. It's not as dark as mahagony but maybe the color of pecan wood??? By my description, can anyone tell me if something like this would be of any value. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeri

Jeri, what is the model number? It won't be very valuable. But you may get more info about it which will help sell it regardless of value.

Thanks for replying. Right now the console is in storage and I can't find the model # on it. Maybe it's on the back. I can't get to the back right now. We will try and find it. I looked on e-bay and couldn't find the exact replica but found ones where the console looked similar and "guesstimated" that it would be worth around $200 but I'm not even sure about that. Thanks again for replying.
